29 Aug 2008

Today we went to the Steel Making Factory to tour the making of steel; it was a ‘warm’ and heavy visit that I had ever since the last time I went to the garbage incinerator plant in Singapore. Thankfully, it is an eye opener to most of us as we all have no idea how a blast furnace looks like in reality, as we only saw pictures in text books about them! It was quite exciting to see the burning and shiny steel melt flowing out of the furnace! Everyone was amazed by the furnace when we were just standing a few hundred meters away from it! (so sad we couldn't take any picture inside the factory) =(

Today was rather a short day, as we didn’t go out to tour around on our own. So we took this chance to have a rest and do some laundry. We also went to do some work out! I finally had a chance to use the table tennis racket that I bought from the school’s provision shop aka mama shop or co-op. It is really a very different feeling to play table tennis in an outdoor area where the tables are all stone tables! But thankfully there are table tennis net set up to let us play, although it was raining as I play with my friends, but still it was a fun experience and I also could see many residents around the school also came in to use the facilities in the school, which I think is quite an interesting way to make full use of the facilities in school!

Tomorrow will be an interesting day as we are all going for a city tour! Can’t wait to go!!! Well stay tune people for more great stuff!! =)
