6&7 Sept 2008

I always love nature and I really enjoyed all that I have seen with my eyes. Nature is so beautiful and lovely; I have never thought it would feel so good just to be close to nature for 2 days. The closest nature I could get close to in Singapore was Ubin, and I really appreciate what is around us and all that is living under the same sky!

I guess I have been a person who contributes to the destroying of our earth for the past 20 years, after this trip I feel that everything starts from me; I have to do my best to protect and preserve this earth for the next generation and the next! The water rafting and hiking trip we had is really an eye opener for me and I guess for others too! Singaporeans are always living on a flat land, ever since the day I was born I was surrounded by high rise buildings and trees, never have I seen a real mountain with my own eyes except through the television! I really hope everyone could have a chance to see what I saw with my own eyes!

While we were staying overnight at the resort on the mountain, I at last tried playing with fire works! It is totally an unforgettable experience! The excitement of lighting up the boxes of fireworks really almost drives me crazy, and I couldn’t stop buying more and more boxes of fireworks to play! =X

I really thank the school for planning such an exciting programme for all of us to enjoy and learn from! I hope everyone would get a chance to do all that I have done so far! =) I look forward to the visit to the three gorges this coming weekend! Take care people! Test is coming! All the best to everyone! GOD BLESS EVERYONE OF US!

5 Sept 2008

Went to visit the local coca cola manufacturing company in Wuhan today! It is quite an eye opener for me as I have never seen how our can and bottle coke are made, and how the packaging and manufacturing is done. It was quite a pleasant visit to the company over all. And I got to know a bit more about the history of coca cola companies in china and all over the world!
After visiting the company, we went to 步行街 again! This time we went together with Li Xuan and she brought us to another side of the street, where we were able to find really good and low price goods! =)

As I was there I wanted to exchange money with the bank, so Li Xuan and I were walking around there finding a bank. But when we got to the bank, the personal in the bank said I would need to fill up a form to change money. But at the same time an uncle was walking towards me saying that I can exchange the money from him. At first I didn’t want to care about him because I fear he might be a con man, but he said he would draw the money out of the ATM machine and exchange with me with a higher rate. So I after much thought I decided to believe him, and I went with him to the ATM located in the bank and he withdrew the Chinese yuan for me as I witness him doing so, and I have successfully exchanged my money without being conned! Really thank GOD that I wasn’t cheated! My heart was full of doubt and fear as I was exchanging money! =X

Tomorrow will be exciting day as we are going water rafting!! GOD BLESS ALL OF US WHO ARE GOING TO THIS EXCITING PLACE TO PLAY! TAKE CARE ALL! GOD MAY YOU SEND ANGELS TO COME AND PROTECT ALL OF US! AMEN! =)

Lesson... Rain... Lesson... Rain.... (Day 11)

~The slides today...~ =X

~Rain rain go away, come again anther day~ (The whole stairs is flooded by our umbrellas!) =X

4 Sept 2008

Today is a rainy day… I didn’t want to wake up today again… because the weather is so nice to sleep… =X According to the weather forecast online, the weather in Wuhan today is range from 21 to 18 degrees! I really love this kind of weather! It is really far lower than what it is in Singapore! It really makes you feel relax and not so tensed up by everything that is waiting for you to do, even walking to class today was enjoyable! =)

Thankfully the topic taught today during lesson wasn’t a big topic, so the lesson was quite light. After the lesson everyone was so tired, but it didn’t affect their mood to go shopping today! They went off to shopping mall and the computer city because they have some business there. As for me I accompanied Sam to the yellow crane tower to change the doll that she bought wrongly that day, and thankfully the shop tender was kind enough to let her change the doll to another one. Along the journey back, we met with a traffic jam and the taxi driver had to go a big round to send us back to school… which cost us quite a large sum of money, but none the less I enjoyed the ride with the taxi driver, he told us many stuff about Wuhan, and he also introduced us to many interesting places that we should visit here in Wuhan! =)

I guess people in Wuhan are very friendly and they do welcome foreigners like us, and they also kept praising us that our mother tongue language Chinese is well spoken! I think that is the part which I am pretty proud of and I thank my parents for educating me and keeping my mother tongue so fluent! =) Well tomorrow will be our coca cola company visit! Hope it will be fun and cold! =)

~This is my new ear phone!!!~ =)

3 Sept 2008

Today’s lesson was quite fast, but thanks to my fellow classmates Sam, Wei Ling and Karen I was able to understand and answer the quiz questions correctly! =) many thanks! Mr Puah also went through our case study 1 which we are suppose to write an report of 2000 words, from the looks of it… it seems quite hard to do… but I know Mr Puah will lead us through just fine! =)
We went to Computer Town this afternoon after school, together with Daisy aka Li Xuan! It really looks like our very own Sim Lim Square in singapore! But just that there are just not as many shops compared to Singapore. Some of us bought hard disk as they have not enough space to store their photos! And we can be insane when we are taking photos, we can go nuts! Once we start we cannot stop ourselves from taking photos! And that’s why Mr Puah fear and don’t like most! Hahaha… ( we will try to listen to you Mr Puah! So sorry at times… =( )

I had a good buy today too at the computer town! Thank God I manage to find a good ear phone with microphone! All thanks to Li Xuan’s brother who knows the shops there very well! My ear phone spoiled the day before and I was really upset as I couldn’t talk to my parents and friends in Singapore through the internet… really thank God that I could get a good buy! =)

A big thank you to our friend Li Xuan! =) and your brother Zhu Ye! =) thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Lesson.. Lesso... Lesson.... (Day 9)

~Look at the slides this week~ =X
~As a result~ =X (Almost everyone knocked out when the teacher declare break) =X
2 Sept 2008

Today is another IS day… really couldn’t force myself out of my bed, my eye lids were so heavy that I couldn’t even see what time it is… and my ears are totally shut down and I couldn’t hear my alarm!

Again like last week, all of us were tired out by all the lessons today… but I did learn a little bit more about Wuhan in the IS lesson today, Xiao Ling Lao Shi taught us about some of the shopping places and the locations of some of the famous places in Wuhan. The East Lake is one of the places that I would love to go and check it out when I’m free! And the night view of the River Bank is also another very interesting place which I would love to take pictures at!

As the weather is slowly turning cold, many of us are starting to get ill, I pray that GOD will preserve all of us here and we will stay healthy for the rest of the days here in Wuhan! I hope Fiza will recover from her headache and fever soon! =)

BLESSED TEACHERS DAY! =) (Day 8)

1 Sept 2008
Today is teacher’s day in Singapore! We treated Mr Wong and Mr Puah to a meal at a nearby restaurant! The food taste not bad! And I hope both Mr Puah and Mr Wong enjoyed themselves at the dinner and the cake we prepared for them! =)

Today is the lesson proper already… although I feel a bit tired and drag my feet to lesson, but the feeling is still different from when I’m in Singapore. As I do not need to travel from hougang to clementi, which will take 1 hour! =X I really enjoyed the company of my friends over here! Every single one of them, especially my roommates Andy and Willis!

Well… tomorrow will be another day of ‘History of China’ lesson! Hope I will learn more new things about the culture and history of Wuhan! That’s all folks! GOD BLESS ANY ONE WHO READS THIS POST! =)
